Qualifications:

Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Illinois Previous experience working in a school, ideally at the middle school level Strong understanding of IEP processes, documentation, and goal writing Ability to assess, develop, and implement appropriate interventions for a diverse student population Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable collaborating with teachers, families, and other professionals Organizational skills for maintaining accurate student records

Responsibilities:

Provide occupational therapy assessments and interventions to middle school students as required by their IEPs Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to individualized educational planning Collaborate regularly with teachers, administrators, and families to support student progress Deliver direct and consultative OT services in various classroom and school settings Monitor, document, and report on student progress toward goals, updating plans as needed Educate staff on strategies, tools, and adaptive equipment that facilitate student success in the school setting
