We are seeking an organized, outgoing, creative, and highly motivated Special Events Coordinator to support event planning, community engagement, volunteer recruitment, sponsorship development, marketing, and day-to-day coordination. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, building relationships, coordinating details, making phone calls, and bringing events and programs together.Responsibilities:
1. Plan and coordinate community, fundraising, and special events from start to finish. 2. Manage event timelines, logistics, vendors, venues, supplies, registration, and onsite details. 3. Recruit and coordinate volunteers for events and programs. 4. Build relationships with local businesses, schools, and community organizations. 5. Assist with securing event sponsors and maintaining sponsor relationships. 6. Communicate regularly by phone and email with businesses, schools, volunteers, sponsors, and community partners. 7. Support event marketing, social media, invitations, and other communications. 8. Manage onsite production and cleanup along with committee for events, as necessary. 9. Create event sponsorship packages and lead the solicitation and securing of sponsorships. 10. Maintain event and attendee information, registration, and databases. 11. Coordinate follow-up with sponsors, volunteers, vendors, and staff after events. 12. Assist with other projects as needed in an office environment.Qualifications:
1. Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. 2. Experience in customer service, office administration, event coordination, community outreach, or a related field. 3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with businesses, schools, volunteers, and community partners. 4. Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. 5. Experience coordinating events, volunteers, programs, or community activities is a plus. 6. Comfortable making phone calls, sending professional emails, and interacting with a variety of people. 7. Proficient with Microsoft Office and comfortable working with databases and other office systems. 8. Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently as well as part of a small team. 9. Willing to be hands-on and assist with a variety of tasks to support successful events and programs. 10. Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings.
