Food & Beverage Director Position Summary The Restaurant and Events Manager will help lead the front-of-house team at Bluefin Grille while supporting the resort's growing weddings and events business. This is a highly visible, hands-on position where you'll spend your time leading service, developing employees, interacting with guests, and working closely with culinary and resort leadership. You'll also have the opportunity to be part of some of our guests' most memorable moments from upscale, casual dining experiences to weddings and special events along Minnesota's North Shore. Key Responsibilities Lead Restaurant Service Be a visible, hands-on leader during restaurant service and create a positive, organized environment for both guests and employees. Lead pre-shift meetings, assign sections, communicate daily priorities and ensure the team is prepared for service. Coach servers, bartenders and hosts in real time, reinforcing hospitality, menu knowledge, teamwork and professionalism. Monitor the guest experience from arrival through payment, stepping in to resolve concerns and create memorable experiences. Partner closely with culinary leadership to manage pacing, special requests, dietary needs and service recovery. Adjust staffing, breaks and floor assignments throughout the shift based on business levels. Complete opening/closing procedures, cash controls, shift documentation and required manager responsibilities. Help maintain high standards for cleanliness, safety, responsible alcohol service and overall restaurant presentation. Wedding & Event Leadership Lead assigned weddings, private events and group dining experiences as the on-site restaurant/event manager. Review banquet event orders, understand event timelines and coordinate closely with culinary, events and resort teams. Help ensure events are executed smoothly while maintaining the high level of hospitality Bluefin Bay is known for. Develop the Team Help onboard and train new employees while providing ongoing coaching and feedback. Recognize strong performance and hold team members accountable in a fair, respectful and consistent manner. Serve as a positive example of Bluefin Bay's values of hospitality, teamwork, professionalism and fun. Qualifications 2+ years of full-service restaurant experience, with prior supervisory, lead-server, banquet or management experience strongly preferred. 21 years of age and meet eligibility requirements to be added to the company's vehicle insurance policy. Valid United States driver's license. Strong communication and customer service skills. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to stay calm under pressure. Demonstrate the ability to lead a team during busy service, make sound decisions and resolve guest concerns professionally. Physical Requirements & Work Environment Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Occasionally needing to lift up to 50 pounds Work may occur around hot equipment, food and beverage service areas, cleaning products, outdoor event spaces in changing North Shore weather.

$45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
