Bluefin Grille Dining Room Manager SUMMARY The role of the Grille server is to serve Bluefin Grille customers food and beverages. The server is given an opportunity to create lasting memories and is an integral part of the Bluefin Bay Resort experience. The successful candidate will help fulfill our mission to deliver exceptional hospitality to all resort guests.SAMPLING OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Take food and drink orders from customers accurately and with a positive attitude. Inform customers of specials and signature items Write patrons' food orders on order slips, memorize orders, or enter orders into the Point of Sale and send them to kitchen staff. Engage customers in a friendly manner. Knowledge of the menu, cocktail and wine lists, with the ability to make suggestions. Ensure tables are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems. Collect payments from tables. Prepare and present checks to customers Assist with salad and dessert station prep Serve at special events around the Resort General restaurant upkeep; cleanliness, product stocking, table clearing, etc. Perform any additional tasks requested by restaurant management.QUALIFICATIONS
Experience providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment. A positive attitude and ability work well under pressure with bussers, cooks and other staff. Able to perform high-quality work while unsupervised. Able to handle money accurately and operate a point-of-sale system. High school diploma. Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment and deliver orders in a timely manner Commitment to quality service, as well as food and beverage knowledge. Education and Experience Must have experience in a full-service restaurant. Wine and cocktail service knowledge a plus. Communication Skills Excellent verbal communication skills to interact effectively with guests, owners and coworkers. Must be able to speak, read and understand basic menu descriptions. Physical Demands- Ability to speak and hear
- Constant standing with some walking
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
- Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move 50 pounds.
- Continual use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills with frequent use of bi-manual dexterity and fine motor skills.
- Generally, in an indoor setting but can include an occasional outdoor barbeque.
- Will be using a computer occasionally.
- Varying schedule to include weekends, weekdays, evenings, holidays and extended hours as business dictates.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to heat/cold from mechanical equipment.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
