RESTAURANT SUPERVISOR
Great opportunity for someone with some restaurant experience looking to learn a management position and grow. We're excited to train the right person! We are looking for a hands-on Restaurant Supervisor to lead our incredible team in Hollywood! This energetic, fast-casual, Mediterranean cuisine restaurant welcomes local walk-in guests and also fulfills multiple large catering orders each day.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Customer Relations Ensure customer satisfaction through promoting excellent service. Effectively and proactively resolve guest complaints and cover any position that may need to be filled so to provide an excellent experience for guests. Check in with our guests and make sure that they are getting service up to the Owner's standards. Ensure that all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly and courteous service. Team Management Help the team by filling in working different stations in the front of house and back of house as needed. Encourage and build mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members. Serve as a role model to demonstrate appropriate behaviors while on shift. Train new employees and provide ongoing training for all staff. Plan and delegate work duties to the staff and ensure that they work according to the compliance of the restaurant business, including but not limited to cleanliness and sanitation practices. Responsible for communicating side work assignments to Team Members and ensuring checklists are completed before Team Members clock out. Ensure that daily opening, mid and closing operation duties are being completed. Inspect food preparation and serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices. Communicate regularly with the Leadership Team and Human Resources regarding employee issues and complaints. Administration Responsible for weekly scheduling of staff in accordance with employees' availability and restaurant's business demands. Manage clock in/out system and ensure all staff are adhering to our company Meal Break and Attendance Policy. Ensure all staff is clocking in and out correctly. Control cash and other receipts by adhering to cash handling and reconciliation procedures in accordance with restaurant policies and procedures. Perform discounts and refunds according to company policy and procedures. Control food cost and usage by following proper requisition of products from storage areas.
QUALIFICATIONS
1-2 years of casual restaurant experience. Food Managers Certification required when hired. TIPS Alcohol Certification preferred. Knowledge of Food, Health and Safety Regulations. Availability to work during holidays, nights, and weekends with increased hours as needed during peak times.
SKILLS:
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Equally comfortable communicating, negotiating, and working with guests, peers, direct reports, vendors or partners. Stand for up to 6 hours at a time. Bend and squat multiple times per shift. Lift up to 50 pounds multiple times per shift. Resourceful problem-solving skills. Self-motivated and results driven.
