Worthington Enterprises is hiring a Tool and Die Machinist in Belcamp, MD. This is a full-time position. Worthington Armstrong Venture (WAVE), a joint venture between Worthington Industries and Armstrong World Industries, has established worldwide leadership in the production of suspended ceiling systems. WAVE produces metal ceiling grids that can be combined with Armstrong ceiling boards as a complete package or sold individually. Join a hands-on toolroom where you'll build, machine, and maintain precision tooling that directly supports production. This role is ideal for candidates progressing from junior-level skills into a fully independent machinist role.
Key Responsibilities:
Machine and maintain tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures Operate manual and CNC equipment (mills, grinders, lathes) Read and interpret blueprints and GD& T Perform part fitting, assembly, and adjustments Hold tight tolerances (±.0005" or better) Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, and gauges Support tooling improvements and production uptimeRequired Skills:
2-7 years machining or tool & die experience (or trade school + shop experience) Working knowledge of milling, grinding, and machining processes Ability to read blueprints and use precision measurement tools Strong attention to detail and willingness to growPreferred Skills:
CNC setup or editing experience Toolroom or production support background Experience with tight-tolerance work Grinding experience preferred. (Surface, I.D/O.D and form grinding)Qualifications:
