About the Job The Holly Yashi Store in The Creamery District of Arcata is looking for a part-time sales associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a genuinley warm and friendly personality and isn't afraid of working independently or using best judgement to deliver an outstanding customer experience. We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven individual with a passion for working in a retail environment. About Holly Yashi For 45 years, Holly Yashi has been designing and handcrafting one-of-a-kind jewelry right here on the North Coast. Our store offers a unique and welcoming shopping experience. Customers are invited to browse our colorful jewelry our colorful jewelry and an ever changing array of gifts, books, and beauty products - all hand selected by Holly from around the globe! Each year thousands of locals, Holly Yashi collectors, and tourists visit our store to shop our unique assortment of gifts and to see how our signature niobium jewelry is made during our studio tours. Essential Duties Welcome customers with a warm, friendly greeting, maintaining eye contact, and offering help locating items. Provide differentiated customer service by anticipating customer needs, demonstrating compassion and care in all interactions, and actively identifying and resolving potential service issues. Accurately perform cashier duties - process cash, check, and credit card transactions with precision while following company policies and procedures Collaborate with fellow team members to keep the sales floor area clean and organized. This includes restocking shelves, checking in vendor product, updating pricing information, and completing inventory management tasks as directed by store manager. Embrace and promote new collections, launches, and loyalty program. Support opening and closing procedures, when needed. Give studio tours by learning jewelry production techniques. Job Requirements Contribute to a positive and friendly store atmosphere. Computer/POS experience. Keep store clean, well stocked, and merchandised. Communicate customer feedback. Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time. Capable of lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds. Ability to climb up and down ladder. Ability to bend and stretch to place and retrieve products and signs on highest and lowest shelves. Must be able to work weekends and holidays. Present a fashion-forward, professional image. Keep a clean and safe workplace at all times. Job Type Part-time Schedule Tuesday - Friday (12 p.m. to 5 p.m.), Saturday (10 a.m. to 5 p.m.)

Pay:

$17.50 - $19.00 per hour
