PACS Specialist

Job Description The PACS Specialist is responsible for the implementation, integration, and configuration enterprise medical imaging systems in support of the UC Berkley project, with a primary focus on Visage

PACS, PDI

Workflow Orchestrator, ACUO DICOM Router, and Nuance Powerscribe One. The PACS Specialist works closely with Enterprise Imaging IT (UCDH & UCB), radiology staff, vendors, and clinical leadership to ensure that the systems meet performance, compliance, and usability standards. •  3-5 years of experience in PACS administration, medical imaging informatics, or clinical IT
•  Hands-on experience with Visage

PACS, PDI

Workflow Orchestrator, ACUO DICOM Router, and/or Powerscribe One

•  Strong working knowledge of DICOM and HL7 standards and troubleshooting
•  Ability to read and interpret DICOM conformance statements and HL7 message structures
•  Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
•  Knowledge of data privacy and security regulations, especially HIPAA.
•  CIIP (Certified Imaging Informatics Professional) certification
•  Experience with enterprise RIS/HIS platforms (Epic preferred)
•  Knowledge of PACS storage architectures including VNA and cloud-based archiving
