Job Description

Position Summary TransducerWorks, a premier medical device contract manufacturer based in Centre Hall, PA, is seeking an experienced and collaborative Project Coordinator. In this role, you will work closely with multiple departments with the primary focus being in R&D and Operations. Key Responsibilities
PROJECT ORGANIZATION
Assist in planning and managing team goals, projecting schedules and new information Oversee current projects and coordinate team members to keep workflow on track Manage project-related paperwork by ensuring all necessary materials are current, properly filed and stored Direct project correspondence by preparing and reviewing project proposals, memos, meeting minutes and emails Communicate with clients to identify and define project requirements, scope and objectives Adhere to budget by monitoring expenses and implementing cost-saving measures Solve issues that would potentially affect OTD and interrupt process flow Maintain inventory and product organization, including creating project bins and inventorying past projects
OPERATIONAL/ADMINISTRATIVE
Ensure Job Travelers and Work Instructions are started/opened, as instructed, per customer request and/or inventory need Evaluate potential problems and technical hitches and develop solutions Participate in project design meetings and propose improvements if necessary Organize and manage Design Review with Engineering, Engineering Assembly Director and appropriate supervisors. Maintain Design History documentation and coordinate all documents beyond design phase Order transducer and subassembly materials Plan and organize material schedules between vendors and customers Fully Expense Job Orders before completing Update travelers with new Op Codes (creating if necessary), and ensure that information (e.g. Prod Std, Mtrl, Sub) is loaded for costing Perform a BOM Cost audit and prepare end-of-project REX slides with labor, yield, and material cost information from the build Conduct time studies/data analysis to enter production standards for labor in each operation Correct resource group requirements in Prod Dev travelers where inventory discrepancies (e.g. neg E1A bin qty) may result Ensure prototype materials placed in storage and that bins are inventoried and tracked Conduct weekly inventory of current consumables Participate in project design meetings and propose improvements if necessary Place manufacturing orders for Acoustics/Machine Shop Place purchase requests for direct/indirect manufacturing items ERP Enter Job Orders in Epicor and provide to technicians Add new part numbers into Epicor and parts number log Properly engineer prototype builds in Epicor for Pre-Production handoff Project costs entered in real time during builds to reflect in Epicor BOM Cost Report Review components with finance department for costing in ERP system Record scrap quantities and reason codes during Time & Expense, creating new scrap reason codes when needed GENERAL Provide administrative support to Engineering/Prototype/Pre-production/NDT areas, as requested Provide support to Production Planning, as requested Provide support to Quality Department and participate in audits, as needed/requested, per design history milestone steps
Qualifications & Requirements Education:
High school diploma or GED degree
Experience:
3 to 5 years of proven experience in project coordination within the manufacturing industry.
Computer and Software Knowledge:
Superior knowledge of financial reporting software tools and ERP software. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products to include advanced Excel skills required.
Work Authorization:
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Sponsorship (H-1B visa, etc.) is not available for this position. Physical Demands & Work Environment (ADA Compliance) Must be able to regularly access and move about the manufacturing floor and enter controlled environments.
