According to Tallo’s research, nearly two-thirds of young adults are still unsure about their career direction — and 43% feel isolated or unsure of where to find support. Most students have never spoken with someone who actually does the job they’re curious about.
A single honest conversation can change that. As an industry volunteer, you bring:

This isn’t a keynote or a formal presentation. A Tallo host leads the entire interview — you just show up and answer questions about yourself.
- Format: Live virtual session via Zoom
- Time commitment: 30–40 minutes, including student Q&A
- Topics: Your career path, day-to-day work, tools you use, skills that matter, and how you got where you are
- Students engage throughout — via polls, live questions, and interactive prompts that shape the direction of the conversation

We’ll reach out when there’s a match
When your background aligns with an educator’s request, a member of the Tallo team will contact you by email to confirm your availability. You may be offered multiple date/time options or a single one depending on the educator’s needs. Please respond promptly — even if you’re unavailable — so we can move quickly.
You’ll receive a calendar invitation
Once a time is confirmed, you’ll get a meeting invitation from RealJourneys@Tallo.com. The requesting educator will also be included on the invite.
Tell us about yourself
We’ll ask for a few personal details and photos. Students connect more deeply with the material when they can put a face to a story. We’ll send a brief request for a few facts and photos to incorporate into the session presentation.
Check your inbox
Your Zoom link and host script will arrive before the session. You won’t need to follow the script — it’s there to give you context on the interview flow and the kinds of questions we ask. Your meeting invitation will also reflect a 15-minute early arrival time so we can do a quick tech check and answer any last-minute questions.
