Job Description

Receptionist - Part-Time Hope Resource Center | Bedford, Indiana $15.00 per hour | Approximately 30 hours per week | In-Person Hope Resource Center is seeking a friendly, dependable, compassionate, and ministry-minded Receptionist to join our team in Bedford, Indiana. The Receptionist serves as the first point of contact and first impression of Hope Resource Center for clients, visitors, volunteers, and callers. We are looking for someone who loves people, communicates well, is organized and dependable, and desires to serve women, men, and families through a Christ-centered ministry. This is an in-person, part-time, non-exempt position . Schedule The regular work schedule is:
Monday:
9:00 AM-5:00
PM Wednesday:
9:00 AM-5:00
PM Thursday:
10:00 AM-7:00
PM Friday:
10:00 AM-2:00 PM Occasional Saturday shifts as scheduled Approximately 30 hours per week . Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential for this position. Pay $15.00 per hour Job Summary The Receptionist is responsible for creating a warm, welcoming, professional, and compassionate environment for everyone who contacts or visits Hope Resource Center. This position includes front-desk responsibilities, answering phones, scheduling appointments, assisting clients with paperwork, performing administrative duties, maintaining client confidentiality, assisting with material resources, and supporting the day-to-day operations of the center. Because Hope Resource Center is a Christian pregnancy care center, this is a ministry-focused position . The ideal candidate will have a heart for serving others and a desire to represent Jesus Christ with grace, compassion, integrity, and professionalism. Primary Responsibilities Greet clients, visitors, volunteers, and guests in a warm and professional manner. Answer incoming phone calls and route calls appropriately. Schedule client appointments according to center guidelines and procedures. Provide general information about Hope Resource Center and its services. Assist clients with intake forms and other required paperwork. Communicate client questions, concerns, and needs to the appropriate staff member. Maintain strict confidentiality of client information and center activities. Enter and maintain information accurately in the center's computer and client management systems. Perform general clerical duties, including email, data entry, printing, copying, scanning, filing, and preparing paperwork. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area. Assist with stocking, organizing, and distributing material assistance according to center policies. Complete assigned opening and closing procedures. Follow center safety and security procedures. Work cooperatively with nurses, advocates, case managers, administrative staff, volunteers, and leadership. Attend required staff meetings and training sessions. Assist with classes, special events, and other ministry activities as needed. Maintain appropriate professional boundaries and refer medical, legal, or other questions outside the scope of the position to qualified staff. Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director or designated supervisor.
Qualifications Applicants should:
Be a committed Christian who demonstrates a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. Exhibit a strong commitment and dedication to the pro-life position and sexual purity. Have a genuine desire to serve women, men, children, and families with compassion and respect. Be dependable, punctual, trustworthy, and committed to the ministry of Hope Resource Center. Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Have a friendly, professional, and clearly understood speaking voice. Be able to remain calm, compassionate, and professional when working with individuals who may be experiencing stressful or emotional circumstances. Maintain strict confidentiality. Be organized and detail-oriented and able to manage multiple responsibilities. Be comfortable using computers and common office technology. Have basic proficiency with email, word processing, data entry, printing, scanning, and other routine office functions. Be able to work independently while also functioning well as part of a team. Be willing to complete all required receptionist, confidentiality, safety, and ministry training. Be willing to work occasional Saturday shifts and assist with special events when needed. Preferred Experience Previous experience in any of the following is helpful but not required: Receptionist or front-desk work Administrative or clerical work Customer service Medical office or healthcare setting Church, nonprofit, or ministry environment Scheduling or client management software Physical Requirements The employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation. Duties may include sitting and working at a computer for extended periods; standing and walking throughout the center; reaching, bending, filing, and organizing supplies; and occasionally lifting and carrying boxes or containers of material assistance.
