$26.50/hour About Acton-Boxborough Community Compass Acton-Boxborough Community Compass addresses unmet needs, creates opportunities, and makes connections for everyone in the Acton and Boxborough communities to thrive with dignity. It operates a welcoming community boutique at the AB Resource Center. Donated clothing and personal care items are available at no cost to anyone who lives, works, or worships or goes to school in Acton or Boxborough. We also connect community members with resources to help with unmet needs. Position Summary The Operations & Volunteer Manager oversees the day-to-day operation of the boutique and coordinates the volunteers who make it possible. This is a hands-on, people-centered role requiring organization, flexibility, and creativity. Key Responsibilities Oversee boutique operations, including donations, sorting, restocking, and organization Recruit, schedule, train, and coordinate individual, school and corporate volunteer groups Assign tasks, provide guidance, feedback, and support volunteers throughout their shifts Welcome, assist shoppers, oversee front-desk greeters, give tours and information Help create a welcoming, inclusive environment where all feel respected and valued Qualifications Strong interpersonal skills Organized, resourceful, and able to prioritize Comfortable working independently and with groups Flexible and able to adapt to changing needs Warm, empathetic, and respectful of people from all backgrounds and abilities Spanish or Portuguese language skills are especially welcome Equity & Inclusion Acton-Boxborough Community Compass is committed to creating a welcoming and equitable environment for everyone we serve, volunteer with, and employ.
