Job Description

Position Summary:

Fremont-Mills Community School District is seeking a motivated, student-centered Assistant High School Boys Track Coach for the 2026-2027 spring season. This position is responsible for assisting with the leadership and development of the high school boys track program while fostering a positive team culture and supporting the growth of student-athletes both on and off the track. The Assistant Coach will work collaboratively with athletes, families, staff, and administration to promote sportsmanship, competitiveness, and long-term program success.

Responsibilities:

Assist in planning and implementing effective practices, training programs, and meet preparation

Support athlete development and skill progression across assigned track and field events

Assist with event-specific instruction, technique, and athlete preparation

Help design and promote off-season conditioning and development opportunities

Contribute to a structured approach to practice planning, athlete development, and team accountability

Support the implementation of strength and conditioning programs

Assist with meet-day responsibilities, including athlete organization, event preparation, and supervision

Promote and model sportsmanship, teamwork, accountability, and a strong work ethic

Build positive relationships with student-athletes, families, staff, and the community

Support and engage with youth track and athletic development opportunities

Collaborate with the Activities Director and Head Coach to ensure compliance with all school and state regulations

Attend coaches meetings and professional development opportunities
