What is the Digital Foundry?
The Digital Foundry at New Kensington is an initiative of Penn State New Kensington designed to provide access to the latest in digital manufacturing technologies for industry, educators, students, and the community.
The Digital Foundry is preparing our current and future workforce with digital/smart manufacturing skills & the knowledge to apply them.
The Digital Foundry at New Kensington offers education and training programs to equip current and future workforce with the knowledge and skills to apply the latest in digital/smart manufacturing technologies regardless of their starting point. With an emphasis on real-world applications and hands-on activities, learners leave with practical tools, know-how, and ability to apply in their work environments.
In our new state of the art Digital Learning and Demonstration Lab, we offer certification programs ranging from entry-level manufacturing positions to advanced engineering. With access to the experts and the latest in hardware and software, our training programs will give you the chance to learn about digital technologies for advanced smart manufacturing and will include professional development skill building to reinforce important competencies such as collaboration, communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and more.
