When Tallo met with the Greater Des Moines Partnership, we knew there was some magic ready to happen. We’re an online platform built to help employers develop a stable, continuous talent pipeline. And the Greater Des Moines Partnership is the economic and community development organization serving Greater Des Moines (DSM), Iowa. Partnering together makes perfect sense: together, we can help raise awareness of career opportunities with DSM employers and career preparation opportunities at higher education institutions.
How do we do this? By tapping into Tallo’s extensive pool of talent on the platform from all around the country, and particularly, those located within Iowa. Students from around the country consistently list Iowa as a place they want to live and work, and with this partnership, Tallo can point to Greater Des Moines as a place of career, employment, and educational opportunities.
Moreover, DSM employers, which includes an impressive list of partners and investors, can utilize Tallo to showcase their industry to talent. This includes the skills and experiences required for each industry and the opportunities, including internships, apprenticeships, part-time and full-time employment, available.
As part of the new initiative, Tallo will also conduct an industry-perception survey with students and Tallo users in Iowa. These insights will allow DSM employers to better understand how to market their organization to attract talent both locally and nationally.
