Background/Experience:
Shall read, understand, speak, and write English fluentlyHigh school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) equivalencyGeneral office administrative and clerical skills to perform receptionist duties and answer telephonesPreferred six (6) months of healthcare administrative experience in either an inpatient or outpatient care setting within the last five (5) yearsGeneral medical ethics, telephone etiquette, written/verbal/electronic communication, and customer service skillsBasic Life Support (BLS) as accepted by American Heart Association (AHA) (Heart Savers, Admins) (Providers course) or American Red Cross•
Position Description:
•This position provides clerical/administrative support in the Referral Management Center for customer service, referral tracking, referral appointing, and reporting activities. This position will support the daily functions of specialty care referral appointing, referral review and coordination, beneficiary counseling and referral tracking at the MTF. Schedules appointments in a government computer system for primary care, specialty andsubspecialty medical care. In addition to scheduling requested appointments, this position will call patients or respond to secure messaging submissions to schedule, reschedule, and/or cancel appointments as needed, to include appointments for consult/referral specialty care within the MTF or at civilian facilities.•
Hours of Operation:
•Contract performance requirements are governed by the contract. The Contractor shall provide qualified and trained personnel to cover the required hours of performance. The Contractor shall provide CP for conducting business Monday thru Friday, within the various facilitys operational duty hours of 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, except for Federal holidays, when the Government MTF is closed due to local or national emergencies, administrative closings, or similar Government directed facility closings or family/down days.
This position requires someone that is able to work as needed. This is not a guaranteed full-time positionbut historically the position does go full-time for those that want full-time relatively quickly.
