Job Description

Adminstrative Manager Turn Bull Lumber Company Elizabethtown, NC 28337 Job Summary Administrative Manager Turn Bull Lumber Company (TBLC) in Elizabethtown, NC is looking for a hands-on day-to-day administrative manager who can roll up his/her sleeves and manage staff, budgets/payroll, inventory, and human resources. A critical aspect of this position is to ensure accurate communication and information (data) between accounting, lumber, log, and payroll systems and to maintain accurate records and documentation to ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

  • Will supervise two staff and serve as back-up for each position in the office.
  • Must be detail-oriented and not afraid to seek out resources to ensure operations are running efficiently and effectively.
  • Will serve as the go-to person for questions about insurance or other HR issues, to manage paperwork dealing with OSHA, hearing tests, drug testing and other mill administrative operations. Will be responsible for all insurance renewals including open enrollment.
  • Must have process improvement experience and always be looking to improve, streamline, and systematize processes.
  • Will work closely with Mill Manager and have overall responsibility for reconciliation of monthly inventory records and actual physical counts.
  • Will oversee facilities management, maintenance, and supply management.
  • Will serve as liaison with outsourced IT functions and work closely with fractional CFO.

Must have a Bachelors’ degree in business administration or related field, 8 to 10 years managing an operation in a

SMALL MANUFACTURING COMPANY

where inventory is critical to the success of the business.

  • Must be an effective communicator, organized and efficient, able to multi-task, be able to manage complex details,
  • Must be an effective problem-solver and have strong communication skills.
  • Must be confident to know when additional information is needed, to reach out to appropriate resources and ensure quality and compliance are key in administering all tasks and functions.
