This position plays a key role in managing and procuring luxury furnishings and materials for multiple projects, while ensuring exceptional service and smooth communication across vendors, internal teams, and clients. If you are highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in a fast-paced, high-end environment—we are looking for you! Duties Facilitate the purchasing process under the supervision of Purchasing Manager Request formal quotes from vendors for all items related to assigned projects Create proposals and send to clients Manage the issuance of purchase orders and related documentation to vendors through project management software applications. Assure accuracy between interior design specifications and purchase orders and quotes. Proactively and effectively communicate to the projects team and the vendors any lead-time conflicts and manage the successful execution of product deliveries. Resolving any discrepancies, obtaining all supplier and carrier invoices and/or credits, and submitting them to the Finance department for immediate processing. Provide issue resolution and customer support. Facilitate the relationship between the clients and the warehouse in receiving the orders and preparing them for delivery. Address and proactively resolve any purchasing issues by working with the internal departments, vendors, and projects team regarding goods. Work with the projects team to establish project timelines, quantities, and required delivery schedule Requirements The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation. Must be proficient with the entire Microsoft Office suite of products Must have solid organizational skills and ability to multi-task Must have solid time management and prioritization skills Must have sound analytical skills Must be open to training in new purchasing software Must have solid customer service and problem-solving skills Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing (in English) Ability to communicate effectively with management, co-workers, and external parties Purchasing experience preferred Background in luxury goods industry would be amazing Knowledge of import procedures and practices a plus
