BASIC FUNCTION
Being the first point of contact for our members and guests, you will perform essential administrative duties. You will warmly greet and welcome our members and guests and oversee the smooth operation of the front desk.
QUALIFICATIONS

EXPERIENCE
High School degree or equivalent experience/training Minimum of two years of Front Desk or Concierge experience Minimum of two years of Supervisor experience Ability to effectively communicate in the English language. Ability to use various computer software programs required to the successful performance of the front desk tasks including Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook, and the Jonas back-office system including the CRM system.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Become thoroughly familiar with the club amenities, hours of operations, Smooth Sailing (magazine), website, pricing structure, rules and regulations of the St Petersburg Yacht Club. Operate the Club’s main switchboard in a professional manner. Greet all members (by name if possible) upon arrival. Take reservations for Club events and dining reservations when needed. Sell Commissary (Retail) goods. Prepare daily cash deposits – balance and maintain your cash box daily. Page managers/employees when asked. Monitor radios for assistance or emergencies. Serve as the main information center for all member requests. Respond to members’ needs. Reconcile valet parking tickets and take payment for parking charges. Take member payments. Issue letters of introduction and guest cards. Maintain lost and found. Issue parking decals. Answer emails. Keep a daily log. Issue Radios/Keys/Towels as needed using logbooks and reconciling nightly. Take new members and guest pictures through the computer system. Issue membership information via email or hand out packets in person, maintaining a prospective member card for follow-up by the Membership Director. Maintain members’ mail for distribution and receive incoming mail each day to be delivered to the Accounting Office. Be familiar with the Front Desk specific procedures regarding time off requests and trading shifts. Be familiar with the Employee Handbook and other Club procedures. Issue Petty Cash to employees and be familiar with Petty Cash Procedures. Be a signer on the Petty Cash Bank Account and issue checks as needed. Maintain proper backup. Supervise the Front Desk staff including scheduling, assist in annual reviews, training, coaching. Fill in for shifts when needed. Maintain the Commissary (Retail) store by analyzing sales, making purchases, pricing, inventory, and merchandising.
MARIGINAL FUNCTIONS
Ability to work any assigned work event. Any other task, written or verbal, assigned by Management.
ENVIRONMENT
Indoors in a well-lit office working at a desk with a computer, keyboard, mouse, telephone, and padded chair with wheels. Floors are carpeted and cement with some stairs. Touring potential members indoors and outdoors, traveling around our five various external locations.
