The newly selected Administrative Coordinator will provide direct administrative support for the Human Resources Department’s operations and programs.
Examples of Duties:
The ideal Administrative Coordinator candidate must possess St. Johns County’s core values of compassion, innovation, and trustworthiness and must work well in a collaborative team environment. Some of the specific tasks include but are not limited to: Serves as the front-line representative for Human Resources which includes providing employees and the public with general information and referral services for department programs and initiatives. Coordinates all administrative functions as it relates to general office management, equipment and supplies. Supports various assigned Human Resources programs such as county wide special events, volunteer services, workshops, hiring and employee onboarding, etc. Coordinates personnel records management, public records requests which includes handling confidential or protected information/records and retention schedules. Maintains the department’s operating budget, accounts payable/receivable, procurement bids, vendor and contract management. Provides executive-level administrative support to the Human Resources Director, which may include calendar management, meeting coordination, and travel arrangements.
Minimum Qualifications:
Candidates for the Administrative Coordinator are encouraged to apply if they meet the following minimum qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent recognized certification. Experience sufficient to thoroughly understand the work of subordinate positions to be able to answer questions and resolve problems, associated with one to three years of experience or service. Must possess and maintain a valid Florida driver’s license and any other endorsements necessary to legally operate vehicles used while assigned to this position. Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills in order to serve others. Must be able to comprehend, speak and write the English language. Must be able to operate a computer.
