Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
2+ years of administrative or office coordination experience, preferably in government or community-based organizations.
Proficiency in social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, X formerly Twitter) Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and virtual meeting platforms (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, etc.).
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Ability to work independently while maintaining clear communication with the team.
Strong customer service skills and ability to engage with executive offices and diverse communities.
Knowledge of Fulton County Government and District 6 initiatives is a plus.
Summary:
The Administrative Coordinator for the Fulton County Board of Commissioners, District 6 Office will provide essential administrative and operational support to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the office. This remote position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality. The ideal candidate will be proactive, tech-savvy, and able to work independently while collaborating with the District 6 team.
Administrative Coordinator Responsibilities:
Administrative Support:
Assist with scheduling, calendar management, email correspondence, and document preparation.
Event Coordination:
Support the planning and execution of virtual and in-person events, meetings, and community outreach efforts.
Data Management:
Maintain records, track office activities, and compile reports as needed.
Communication:
Draft and distribute newsletters, social media updates, and official communications on behalf of the office.
Other Duties:
Perform additional administrative tasks as assigned to support the goals of the District 6 office.
Work Environment & Schedule:
This is a remote position, but the candidate must be available for virtual meetings and occasional in- person events, as needed.
The schedule is flexible, with an expected workload of approximately 29 hours per week.
