The Metropolitan Human Services District (MHSD) is one of ten districts established across Louisiana by the state legislature in 2003. Our mission is to oversee the delivery of publicly funded, community-based services for mental health, addictive disorders, and developmental disabilities in our region. MHSD serves the residents of Orleans, Plaquemines, and St. Bernard Parishes, with a particular focus on uninsured or Medicaid-eligible individuals. We provide critical support to adults, children, and families experiencing mental illness, addiction, and developmental or intellectual disabilities.

At Metropolitan Human Services District (MHSD) we are currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Administrative Coordinator 2 to join our dedicated team and help support our vital mission. The individual in this role will be a key member of the Quality and Data Management Team, responsible for managing survey data (e.g., compiling, verifying accuracy, sorting, and data entry into databases). Additionally, this role supports addiction-related programs through various activities.

Minimum Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

One year of experience in administrative services.

EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION

Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will substitute for six months of the required experience.

Function of Work:

To perform a variety of clerical duties that requires some independent judgment to accomplish in support of the staff members and/or operations of an organizational unit or program.
Employees follow detailed procedural guidelines in completing well-defined duties.

General from higher-level clerical and/or supervisory personnel.

Job Duties and Other Information

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Data Collection and Integrity Oversight
    Ensure the accurate collection and integrity (i.

e., reliability, validity, completeness, and accuracy) of data in accordance with MHSD’s data collection standards.
Perform data entry for tools such as Outcome and Satisfaction Surveys.
Maintain and manage data files and storage systems.
Compile and categorize quality survey results and monitoring data.
Prepare reports for internal stakeholders as needed.

  • Administrative Support
    Coordinate and schedule meeting rooms.
    Prepare meeting materials including handouts and agendas.
    Manage room setup, guest sign-in sheets, meeting minutes, and photocopying needs.

  • Quality Monitoring
    Assist in identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies for performance enhancement.
    Participate in clinic monitoring visits to ensure survey integrity.
    Support quality monitoring efforts, including Care Center incoming call reviews.

  • Addiction Program Support
    Contribute to addiction services by assisting in planning and developing activities.
    Represent the voice of service recipients in event planning and outreach efforts, including initiatives such as condom distribution.

  • Education and Training Support
    Provide assistance with training and educational initiatives related to quality and data management.
