Job Summary The Patient Care Administrative Nurse Supervisor is anexperienced Registered Nurse and is responsible for supervising andmonitoring the Nursing department(s) on an assigned shift inaccordance with nursing standards and practices as well as currentFederal, State and local standards, guidelines and regulations.

This position ensures the appropriate delivery of direct andindirect patient care via the utilization of the Nursing Processand creates a positive environment for the professional practice ofnursing. In addition, this position ensures activities fostercontinuous quality improvement to enhance patient care outcomes.

This position also ensures patient flow throughout theorganization. This position provides leadership for multiplehospital departments in the absence of the unit manager, director,or administration. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Nursingrequired 3 years of acute care charge or supervisory experiencerequired Progressive leadership experience Active Registered Nurselicense from the State of Connecticut required Certified in BasicLife Support (BLS) provider credentialed form the American HeartAssociation (AHA) Certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)provider credentialed form the American Heart Association (AHA)preferred We take great care of careers.
