Job Description
Administrative Coordinator Maine Trust for Local News 295 Gannett Dr, Portland, ME 04106 The Maine Trust for Local News (METLN) Administrative Coordinator will play a vital role in our mission by providing essential support to the senior leadership team, and contributing to the success of our organization. In this role, you will be responsible for a wide range of administrative activities including internal communications, community relations, event support, and an assortment of unpredictable but essential tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative Support:
Provide general administrative support, such as email follow-ups, phone calls, presentation materials, scheduling, digital record keeping, industry resource/award management, licensing requests, etc.
Internal Communications:
Manage METLN employee idea inbox, keep comms calendar and manage monthly METLN employee newsletter
Community Engagement:
Support school tours, funder visits, community outreach, chamber relationships, trade partnerships, represent at community events
Special Projects:
Assist with special projects and initiatives as assigned by senior leadership ranging from assisting with internal/external events to employee engagement activities. Ready for

Be ready to jump in and assist in various tasks and projects across the organization as needed.
Qualifications:
High energy and enthusiasm for the mission of the Maine Trust for Local News. Related experience in a work environment where time-management, prioritization, attention to detail and multi-tasking were essential. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to actively listen and communicate effectively. Proactive and able to take initiative to solve problems and anticipate needs. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Proficiency in Google and Microsoft Suites, experience with Zoom and Slack. Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
