This position is devoted to providing coordination of data flow, data entry, reporting and processing of warrants, crime and police information as well as providing customer service to the general public. Supervise an assigned shift or section of records management or warrants staff. Responsible for reviewing source documents to ensure all available information is present; identifying data discrepancies and making corrections; proofing staff work; coding documents; operating the police records management system; training staff; establishing priorities and deadlines; and supervising all data entry and customer service operations. Supervise support staff, including; conducting performance evaluations; and coordinating trainings. Duties/Responsibilities Supervises police records management including data entry and customer service; supervises staff including planning, assigning, and evaluating work; trains staff; establishes work schedules and ensures adequate staffing levels; troubleshoots basic software and related issues; reports technology issues to appropriate personnel; and ensures compliance with applicable regulations, policies, and procedures. Supervises the preparation of and/or prepares, maintains, reviews, and/or updates warrant and law enforcement-related reports, records, logs, and other documents; supervises the maintenance and updating of databases; reviews documents, identifies data discrepancies, and makes corrections to ensure informational accuracy; and proofs staff work. Supervise the entry and removal of NCIC hot files (e.g., wanted persons, stolen vehicles, etc.) and performance of DMV and criminal history inquiries. Minimum Qualifications & Experience Associate’s degree in business or public administration, criminal justice, or directly related field OR equivalent experience. Four years of police records experience. Additional Preferred Skills Experience directly supervising and directing the daily activities of technicians performing customer service duties. Experience retrieving/updating information from Databases. DCI Module 1, 2 & 3 certifications. Benefits
