As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a crucial role in ensuring their experience is exceptional.

SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Ensures adequate daily staffing for clerical. May assist with clinical staffing needs; accepts daily sick calls and time off requests. (including Londonderry office) 2. Provides training to new staff members in office procedures and electronic medical record systems. 3. Oversees check in and check out process. 4. Assist with maintaining and monitoring physician schedules. 5. Responds to patient concerns and resolves conflicts by communicating with staff, physicians, insurers, billing office, etc. Keeps Practice Administrator informed and involves Practice Administrator in conflict resolution as necessary. 6. Coordinates with clinical supervisor to ensure a smoothly running office. 7. Collaborates on any scheduling challenges and reports on no shows. 8. Performs functions of a patient service representative and provides support. 9. Ensures positive customer service atmosphere.

PATIENT SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Greets patients. 2. Verify demographic information for patients (address, phone number, email address) 3. Verifies insurance information and updates as appropriately. 4. Collects co-payments and outstanding balances. 5. Reconcile batch daily for money collected. 6. Schedules appropriate follow up appointments.

Education and Experience:

1. High school diploma or equivalent. 2. Experience in health care setting performing similar work activities including, but not limited to clerical, billing or insurance processing is preferred. 3. 3-5 years’ experience in supervision of front office operations. 4. Demonstrates skills in motivating and training professional staff.

Essential Skills and Abilities:

1. Demonstrated experience in a supervisory role. 2. Knowledge of applicable financial and clinical functions. 3. Exceptional customer service skills. 4. Ability to analyze workload requirements and schedule staff appropriately. 5. Ability to work with frequent interruptions and respond appropriately to unexpected situations. 6. Ability to interact with physicians and staff and participate as a team member with individuals inside and outside the department.
