Reporting to the Associate Director of Residence Life Administration & Operations, the Administrative Coordinator (AC) is a critical member of the office, supporting the Associate Dean, Directors and other central office staff to fulfill their mission of providing excellent service to the community of Rutgers University-Newark. The AC provides the day-to-day administrative support to the Offices of Community Standards & Student Development and Residence Life.
This position will be responsible for and not limited to the following: Coordination and implementation of the calendar Coordination of various meetings for a variety of stakeholders Shopper for purchasing system Reserving rooms; ordering catering; coordinating transportation and travel Maintaining office technology; coordination of all front desk functions, and general administrative support The AC is expected to perform professional work that requires the basic application and use of concepts and terminology used in both CSSD and Res Life in a manner consistent with a basic understanding of their visions and missions This position requires patience, professionalism, and ability to work well in a very busy office that provides a large volume of high-quality services.
