Job Summary:
This position assists the scheduler with scheduling surgical cases with physician offices and other departments. This position will answer the phones for patient questions and concerns and be the backup for when the scheduler is not available. This position is also responsible for communication of any potential room or instrument conflicts based on scheduling needs.
This includes:
Communication/ Coordination and General Administrative Functions
Scheduling Functions
Other Duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications for the
Job:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent. Some college preferred.
Experience:
Three (2) years of administrative experience required.
Substitution:
One year of administrative experience working at a hospital, physician’s office, clinic, or related work setting may substitute for the 2 years of administrative experience
Preferred Experience:
Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
Internal Hires:
Pay rate will be determined based on applicable personnel rule or union contract terms.
External Hires:
This position starts at $23.97 per hour. Step placement and rate of pay will be determined based upon relevant experience.
