Job Description
Description We are looking for a Collections Specialist to join our team on a contract basis. In this role, you will focus on managing accounts receivable, reconciling customer accounts, and ensuring timely collections. This is a fully remote contract position with an expected duration of 10 weeks, with the possibility of extension.
Responsibilities:
- Handle collections and perform customer account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Generate Dun and Bradstreet reports for evaluating new account requests.
- Request and review bank and trade references to assess creditworthiness of potential clients.
- Distribute customer statements and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Utilize Microsoft D365 to maintain and update financial records effectively.
- Collaborate with internal teams to address and resolve account discrepancies.
- Communicate professionally with customers via email and phone to discuss overdue payments.
- Follow established procedures for managing accounts receivable and collection processes. Requirements
- Proven experience in collections and accounts receivable management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, with the ability to navigate computer systems efficiently.
- Familiarity with Microsoft D365 or similar accounting software is preferred.
- Strong communication abilities, both written and verbal, to interact with customers and team members.
- Ability to follow directions and adapt quickly to new systems and procedures.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
