Collections Specialist Porter Freight Funding Hartselle, AL 35640 Purpose of the

Job:

Perform all tasks specific to business to business collection activities including maintaining debtor relationships. Ensure accounts receivable are collected in full as per company policy.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Analyze assigned debtor invoice paperwork Early assessment and reporting of concerns to manager Perform all collection calls/emails and document within the system Document short pays, disputes, claims and report to specific account rep. Send demand letters as needed to debtors and shippers Recommend no-buy status to Credit for credit risk debtors Regular attendance required Other collection activities as assigned Education and/or

Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 6-12 months related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Other Skills and Abilities:

Strong computer skills (including MS Office), accurate keyboarding/data entry skills, ability to calculate figures, collection skills to effectively resolve payment disputes/billing errors/collect on past due accounts, willing to learn, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, professional customer service skills, basic understanding of practical conflict resolution techniques, ability to multi-task, focused, high level of productivity, quality driven, results-oriented, detailed, self-motivated, team player with can-do attitude, organized, analytical, able to research, problem-solving, strong time management, excellent communication skills (oral and written).
