The Sr Analyst, Collections is responsible for overseeing collections on defaulted accounts, developing strategic plans to mitigate risk, and negotiating settlement agreements with dealership partners. This role requires in-depth knowledge of the automotive industry and will be instrumental in assessing and managing default risks effectively. The Sr Analyst, Collections partners closely with internal teams to successfully drive the collections function for ACV Capital.
What you will do:
Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
Develop, implement, and manage effective collections strategies to recover outstanding amounts.
Work closely with the Risk Team to ensure timely and efficient resolution of delinquent accounts.
Develop and execute strategic plans to minimize default risks and optimize portfolio performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align risk management strategies with company objectives.
Identify and implement proactive measures to mitigate losses associated with default situations.
Assess the financial health of dealership accounts and recommend appropriate actions.
Negotiate and finalize settlement agreements with dealership partners to resolve default situations.
Ensure that settlement terms are fair, reasonable, and aligned with company policies.
Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes affecting the automotive and floorplan lending sectors.
Apply industry knowledge to inform risk assessments and strategic decision-making.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
What you will need:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or related field.
5 years’ experience in risk management within the auto finance industry.
1-2 years’ experience supporting customers with complex and sensitive issues..
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
Proven experience in collections, strategic planning, and loss mitigation.
Strong negotiation and settlement agreement skills.
In-depth knowledge of the auto industry and floorplan lending practices.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
