Collection Specialist Position Available In Miami-Dade, Florida

COLLECTION SPECIALIST

CAMP

HILL, PA

Hybrid working out of one of these three offices:

• Camp Hill
• Hanover
• York
  Starting at $18
• 20 per hour based on experience.

Requirements:

• Associate’s degree in business administration or equivalent experience
• 1 year experience in credit and collections
• Committed to the values of initiative, responsibility, caring relationships, integrity, and innovation
• Knowledge of computer technology including Word, Excel, and e-mail
• Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills

Responsibilities:

• Contact customers for payment of past due amounts
• Communicate with customers to resolve problems and concerns in a courteous, professional, and timely manner
• Recommend and prepare accounts deemed uncollectible for outsourcing
• Submit accounts to collection agency monthly
• Provide all customers with consistent, quality service in accordance with company procedure
• Analyze credit reports of new customers
• Approve or deny retail fuel oil and propane gas deliveries
• Complete projects and other duties as assigned by the Customer Relations Manager

Authority:

• Approve credit applications as outlined in the risk management credit policy
• Approve and issue credits up to $200
• Recommend any changes which will expedite or correct problems within the job scope to the Customer
  Relations Manager
• Implement these changes with the approval of the Customer Relations Manager
• Not authorized to bind the company in any contracts

Relationships:

• Reports to the Customer Relations Manager
• Internal contacts: managers and team members at all company locations
• External contacts: attorneys, customers, collection agency personnel, and banks

Expected Results:

• Contact assigned monthly goal of customers per month via phone calls or emails
• Obtain assigned monthly goal of committed in promise to pays on past due accounts
• Collect assigned monthly goal on past due balances
