What You’ll Do as a Collections Specialist The Collections Specialist will manage critical accounting tasks while building strong internal and external relationships.
Key duties include:
Processing rent payments for a portfolio of 50+ properties. Making collection calls to tenants with outstanding balances. Handling daily deposits and ensuring payment accuracy. Posting cash receipts and reconciling accounts. Maintaining up-to-date vendor and tenant records. Collaborating with the property management and accounting teams to support smooth collections and reporting processes. Qualifications – What Makes a Great Collections Specialist To thrive as a Collections Specialist, candidates should bring: 2+ years of Collections or Accounts Receivable experience. Experience in commercial real estate is a strong plus. Familiarity with Skyline software is preferred. Solid understanding of debits and credits. Strong attention to detail, time management, and communication skills. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
