A/R Collections Specialist Central Florida Cancer Institute 1420 Celebration Boulevard, Celebration, FL 34747

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

We are looking for a knowledgeable and dedicated individual to join the team in our central billing office located in Celebration in the following capacity : Account denial review, correction and rebilling. Investigate, dispute and appeal claim denials by validating collectability. File disputes, reconsiderations and appeals with payers in a timely manner. Provide consistent follow-up and report to Billing Manager and Department Lead. Make calls on unpaid claims (Insurance and patient due). Follow work processes to connect with patients having outstanding balances (insurance and patient due) to collect outstanding payments to successfully bring accounts to zero. Maintain spreadsheets to accurately communicate and document contacts and workload.

QUALIFICATIONS

( Education, Experience, & Skills required) Experience in collection and appeals in radiation oncology and urology helpful, but experience in the collection and appeals processes utilized in the medical industry is required. Knowledge of Centricity/ARIA and Athena (helpful). Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel is required. Knowledge of billing and payer procedures is required. Ability to work independently and accurately log work performed is required. Clear and concise verbal & written communication skills are required. The ability to show compassion while understanding your role as a collector to accomplish the goal of collecting accounts to zero is required. This position will pay a $500 sign on bonus payable at 4 months of employment. This is a full time position.
