Tenant Account Representative Location:

A leading national real estate firm is seeking a Tenant Account Representative to join its team. With a diverse portfolio spanning retail, office, industrial, hotel, and residential properties across the U.S., this organization is known for its long-standing success and commitment to excellence in property management.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor open rent and accounts receivable reports to identify overdue payments. Contact tenants regarding past-due lease payments, including rent, ancillary charges, and taxes, while negotiating repayment plans as needed. Review and respond to tenant inquiries related to lease calculations or discrepancies. Reconcile tenant accounts, provide historical payment data, and adjust invoices as necessary. Collaborate with billing and lease administration teams to document payment changes for accurate future billing. Work closely with leasing agents and legal counsel to determine appropriate action on delinquent accounts. Participate in regular meetings to discuss account status and collection strategies. Coordinate with outside legal counsel to issue default and demand letters, following up with tenants as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
2+ years of experience in commercial account collections, accounting, or a related customer service field. Associate degree preferred. Strong organizational and communication skills (both written and verbal), with a high level of attention to detail and professionalism. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to collaborate with tenants, leasing agents, attorneys, and internal management to resolve account issues. Experience working with collections staff and legal teams on past-due accounts and bankruptcy claims.
