Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Collections Specialist to join our team at our car dealership. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in managing accounts receivable, securing timely payments from customers with vehicle financing, and maintaining positive client relationships. This position requires a strong understanding of auto finance and collections procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to resolve delinquent accounts effectively and professionally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct follow-up calls, texts, and emails with customers regarding past-due auto loan accounts and payment arrangements.
• Perform account reconciliation to ensure billing accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain detailed and organized records of all communications and payment activity.
• Collaborate with the sales and finance teams to resolve customer issues related to loan agreements or vehicle purchases.
• Apply strong phone etiquette and negotiation techniques to foster cooperative solutions.
• Recommend accounts for repossession or further action based on delinquency status.
• Monitor aging reports to track overdue accounts and prioritize collection efforts.
• Ensure all collections practices comply with state and federal regulations

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in account reconciliation and a solid understanding of accounts receivable and auto finance processes.
• Strong verbal communication and phone etiquette skills to engage effectively with customers.
• Excellent customer service abilities, demonstrating empathy, firmness, and professionalism.
• Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving and account recovery.
• Basic math skills for accurate calculation of balances, payments, and interest.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Full-time Pay:

$15.00 – $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
