Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Collection Agent to join our team. As a Collection Agent, you will be responsible for contacting customers to collect outstanding payments and resolve any billing issues. Your excellent communication skills and ability to analyze accounts will be crucial in ensuring timely and accurate collections.

Responsibilities:

• Contact customers via phone to collect outstanding payments
• Analyze customer accounts to determine payment status and resolve billing discrepancies
• Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining professionalism and phone etiquette
• Utilize telemarketing techniques to effectively communicate with customers
• Update customer records with accurate and up-to-date information
• Collaborate with internal teams, such as Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, to resolve payment issues
• Assist with account reconciliation and debits/credits adjustments
• Maintain confidentiality of customer information and adhere to data protection policies

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in accounting or finance is a plus
• Proven experience in collections, customer service, or a related field
• Strong mathematical skills for account analysis and calculations
• Knowledge of revenue cycle management, medical billing, or related industries is preferred
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work independently and meet collection targets
• Proficient in using collection software and
