Job Summary
Reviews delinquent files to determine overall collectability while protecting the bank’s principal. When deciding appropriate collection remedy for delinquent files, ensures actions taken adhere to established procedures, company policies and industry regulations. Encourages delinquent account holders to self-cure through proper technology channels. Assists team in training other collectors and in improving procedures.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Reviews delinquent files to determine overall collectability while protecting the bank’s principal.
When deciding appropriate collection remedy for delinquent files, ensures actions taken adhere to established procedures, company policies and industry regulations
Encourages delinquent account holders to self-cure through proper technology channels
Each team member is expected to be aware of risk within their functional area. This includes observing all policies, procedures, laws, regulations and risk limits specific to their role. Additionally, they should raise and report known or suspected violations to the appropriate Company authority in a timely fashion.
Performs other related duties as required.

Minimum Requirements
Minimum Education:
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum Experience:
A minimum of six (6) months of related work experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Experience with loan documentation and basic legal functions – working knowledge of finance and banking
Knowledge of FDCPA standards and state and federal laws and regulations
Negotiation skills and the ability to work effectively under adverse and hostile conditions
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong decision making and organizational skills
Ability to work in a team environment
Attention to detail and an ability to work and multi-task in a fast paced environment with fluctuating priorities
Basic knowledge of collection procedures and telephone collections etiquette
Basic knowledge of credit reporting procedures and credit reporting agencies
Basic PC and data entry skills
