Accountant/Analyst – Credit & Collections Confidential Shreveport, LA 71105 About the Role Leading Shreveport supply chain organization is looking for a detail-oriented, analytical, and relationship-focused Financial Analyst – Credit & Collections to join our onsite finance team. You’ll help manage customer credit health, support sales with informed credit decisions, and keep accounts on track. This role works closely with national account AP teams, sales reps, and credit to review account performance, track payment status, and guide credit limits based on real-time financial activity. While collections is part of the job, it’s more about building customer relationships, staying organized, communicating effectively, and using financial insights to make decisions. What You’ll Do Manage a portfolio of customer accounts, including national accounts requiring weekly standing AP meetings Deliver aging reports, gather payment statuses, and maintain consistent communication with customers Analyze trends in payment behavior to make credit decisions and risk strategies Collaborate with the credit team to recommend appropriate credit limits based on financial metrics, trade references, and statements Partner closely with sales teams to provide updates and account insights Handle administrative credit functions including payment posting, account drafting, lien filing, refund processing, and reconciliations Maintain clean and organized customer account records and documentation What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred) 3-5 years of experience in an office setting with a healthy pace Understanding of credit risk analysis, customer financials, and trade references Clear communicator with strong organizational skills Proficient in mircosoft products like excel and word
Compensation & Benefits Salary:
$65,000 – $75,000, depending on experience
