The ideal candidate will be responsible for recovering outstanding debts while maintaining a professional demeanor and providing excellent customer service. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to navigate various financial software systems effectively. Duties Contact debtors via phone, email, or written correspondence to collect outstanding payments. Negotiate payment arrangements and resolve disputes in a professional manner. Maintain accurate records of all communications and transactions in the financial software. Perform account reconciliation to ensure all payments are accurately applied. Utilize medical terminology when dealing with medical collections, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Assist in telemarketing efforts to promote services related to debt recovery. Collaborate with the accounts payable team to resolve discrepancies and improve collection processes. Provide exceptional customer service while handling sensitive financial information. Experience Previous experience in debt collection or a related field is preferred but not required. Familiarity with medical billing and collections is a plus. Proficiency in accounting software and financial software systems is highly desirable. Knowledge of debits and credits, as well as general accounting principles, will be beneficial. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clients. Experience in telemarketing or sales can enhance negotiation skills.
