Collections Specialist 3.9 3.9 out of 5 stars Edison, NJ 08837 We are looking for a dedicated Credit & Collections Specialist to join our team in the Woodbridge, New Jersey area. In this role, you will handle business-to-business (B2B) collections, process payments, and assess credit reports to ensure financial accuracy and compliance. This position is an excellent opportunity to leverage your accounts receivable expertise with a reputable company.

Responsibilities:

Perform outbound B2B collection efforts to recover overdue payments and address customer disputes. Accurately record and allocate incoming payments to the appropriate customer accounts. Review and assess credit reports to evaluate the financial reliability of customers. Maintain comprehensive documentation of collection efforts and payment updates. Collaborate with internal departments to resolve billing inconsistencies and payment-related concerns. Track overdue accounts and implement tailored collection strategies. Adhere to company policies and financial regulations throughout the collection process. Deliver outstanding customer service, managing sensitive financial conversations with professionalism. Proven experience in accounts receivable and collections, preferably in a B2B environment. Strong knowledge of credit reporting and financial documentation. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Proficiency in relevant software and tools used for collections and payment processing. Ability to analyze financial data and resolve payment issues efficiently. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
