We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical billing processes and coding procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Review and verify accuracy of billing data and revise any errors
• Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies
• Follow up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle timeframe
• Check each insurance payment for accuracy and compliance with contract discount
• Call insurance companies regarding any discrepancy in payments if necessary
• Identify and bill secondary or tertiary insurances
• Manage the facility’s Accounts Receivable reports

Skills:

• Proficiency in medical coding, including ICD-10, ICD-9, DRG, and CPT coding systems
• Knowledge of medical billing practices and medical terminology
• Experience with medical collections and working with insurance companies
• Familiarity with medical office procedures and administration
