Summary We are seeking a dedicated Billing Specialist to join our team at Atomic Transport, LLC. . This role collaborates closely with the Accounts Receivable Manager and other team members to ensure accurate and timely billing is completed along with some driver payroll functions, as well as the completion of additional tasks as assigned.
Key Responsibilities:
Billing (90%) Research billing/payroll information thoroughly and coordinate with other departments to gather required data in a timely manner. Enter billing and payroll information into the system, either manually or through digital upload. Verify the accuracy of billing data and correct any discrepancies. Submit accurate billing invoices to customers per their procedures. Address customer inquiries regarding billing information or additional documentation. Input carrier and customer rates in accordance with contractual agreements. Implement necessary adjustments, including credits or rebills based on contracted rates. Collaborate with other departments to resolve outstanding or incorrect invoices. Process carrier invoices and driver settlements for payment, including weekly calculations for fuel and mileage. Additional Duties (10%) Provide backup support to team members as required. Undertake various projects and responsibilities as assigned or developed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word). High attention to detail and commitment to data integrity. Self-motivated and able to meet deadlines with professional, quality results 3-5 years of experience in accounts receivable or a similar role. Knowledge of transportation and/or logistics is beneficial. Familiarity with McLeod or TMS software is a plus. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent investigative and research skills.
Physical Requirements:
Frequent sitting (90%), with occasional standing and walking (10%). Ability to lift small packages as needed.
