Billing Specialist
Overview

POSITION SUMMARY

The Billing Specialist reports to the Billing Manager and is responsible for the manual billing and oversight of multiple billing processes within the company. This role will work cross-functionally to ensure timely and accurate billing. To be successful in the position it is essential the Billing Specialist has a detail-oriented, analytical personality capable of noticing problems as they arise and remain capable of strong individual contribution via high volume processing at the same time.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

None

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Process all manual customer billings monthly for equipment purchases, internal and outside service, fees and rebates, promotional materials, product volume minimums, and other miscellaneous billings as needed.
Maintain contract billing schedules for equipment rental and lease for customers.
Work with the Accounts Receivable department (AR) and other field personnel to research and resolve requests for credit memos.
Analyze and audit contracts to ensure all billings are being completed, including billing processes that occur outside of the Billing Department
Assist with customer third-party billing into multiple platforms such as Coupa, Ariba, Corrigo, Service Channel, and I-Payables
Confirming and reconciling successful EDI transmission of management partner billing
Assist with licensee and partner sales reporting.
Cross-training on other positions within the department
All other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED). Experience with high-volume manual billing and oversight of multiple billing processes.
Working knowledge of the Microsoft suite and systems, especially excel.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers and employees at any level. The ability to successfully complete the pre-employment process

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

3-5 years of clerical experience in accounting.
Experience with SAP. Experience within the food service industry.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, typing, reading, talking, and hearing.
