Pharmacy Technician – Billing Specialist Moxy Rx 754 Shades Mountain Plz, Hoover, AL 35226 Moxy Rx is seeking a full-time Pharmacy Technician – Billing Specialist to join our long-term care pharmacy team. We are looking for a dedicated professional with pharmacy billing experience, strong attention to detail, and a positive attitude. This role is responsible for processing customer bills and insurance claims accurately and efficiently, while providing excellent customer service to patients, caregivers, medical providers, and insurance carriers.
Key Responsibilities:
Process billing and insurance claims accurately and on time Research and verify patient eligibility and insurance coverage Maintain accurate patient and billing records Respond promptly to billing inquiries and resolve issues Assist patients and families by providing Medicare plan comparisons during open enrollment Perform daily census updates (admit, discharge, room changes) Process patient payments, returns, credits, and address delinquent accounts as needed Assist with insurance prior authorizations and rejected claims resolution Ensure compliance with government regulations, including HIPAA Collaborate effectively with the pharmacy team
Experience:
1+ years of related pharmacy billing or pharmacy technician experience (preferred) Advanced computer skills; pharmacy system experience preferred
Education/Certifications:
High School Diploma or GED required Pharmacy Technician license/certification/registration; National Certification (PTCB) preferred
