This dual-role position is responsible for patient scheduling and ensuring accurate billing processes to support the financial health of our organization. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in delivering excellent patient service while ensuring timely and efficient revenue cycle operations. Key ResponsibilitiesBilling & Revenue Cycle Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies and other payers accurately and in a timely manner. Follow up on unpaid claims and manage denial resolutions. Post payments, adjustments, and reconcile accounts daily. Ensure proper coding for services rendered in collaboration with clinical staff. Maintain knowledge of payer requirements, billing regulations, and compliance standards. Assist with month-end close and revenue reporting. Patient Scheduling & Front-End Operations Schedule appointments efficiently and accurately using the EHR system(Athena). Verify patient insurance and eligibility prior to appointments. Provide excellent customer service to patients via phone. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred. Minimum 2 years of experience in medical billing and scheduling. Knowledge of insurance payers (Medicaid, Medicare, Commercial). Proficiency in EHR and billing software (e.g., eClinicalWorks, Athenahealth, NextGen). Understanding of medical terminology and coding systems. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to multitask and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience in an FQHC or FQHC look-alike setting. Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR).
