This candidate should have strong attention to detail, the ability to enter data accurately, analytical skills, and strong customer service . We need a team player who can relate to the patients in a personable yet professional manner that has working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 1 year of A/R, Insurance Billing, and Medical Coding experience and have a stable job history. Would love to have someone with neurosurgery experience or who has worked for a billing company in the past.

General Summary of Duties Manage the A/R Report to facilitate patient and insurance collections Work directly w/ patients to resolve unpaid balances Assist patients with billing questions Provide financial counseling to patients having a surgical procedure Ability to explain patient statements to patients Process patient payments and post payments in electronic chart End of Day Balancing Process claims Follow up on appeals and redeterminations Work directly with insurance companies to resolve aging claims Fill in for other front office positions as needed Medical Coding Skills and Abilities Excellent customer service Tactfulness in dealing with patients Well organized and detail oriented Professional appearance Medical Terminology Familiar w/ Practice Management software
