Marshall Islands Job Summary:
The Local National Medical Billing Specialist is responsible for managing the administrative responsibilities of billing insurance and processing payments for clients. In addition, they will communicate with patients about outstanding balances, collecting on behalf of their employer or provider institution as necessary to ensure the patient’s procedures are paid for by their insurance company.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Reviews and verifies medical bills and invoices with accounts receivable ledger and patients. Ensures record accuracy, follows up, and makes necessary revisions. Processes change in the information system to support accurate and efficient billing processes and financial close. Follows proper medical and insurance claim processes. Safely performs duties and follows the corporate safety policy. Participates in and supports safety meetings, training, and goals. Ensures safe operating conditions within the area of responsibility. Maintains a clean and orderly work environment.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Experienced in medical business operations, and transactions for insurance billing programs to include third-party billing and collections. Requires a favorable security background check and drug screen. Must be current in all required certifications. Shall be proficient in the ability to speak, write, and communicate in English and Marshallese. Shall demonstrate proficiency in the use of basic word processing programs. A normal workweek s established by the Program Manager. Requires a favorably adjudicated CNACI investigation conducted by the Department of Defense.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of Aprima Software preferred.
Physical Requirements and Work Conditions:
Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time. Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment; travel to Kwajalein is required by air.
