Stuart Health and Wellness is a national mail-order Durable Medical Equipment Supplier specializing in Diabetic Testing Supplies and Continuous Glucose Monitor Systems. We seek an experienced, dedicated, enthusiastic Billing and Customer Service Representative to join our growing team. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, ambitious, and reliable individual. Our DME Representatives have a compassionate and cool-tempered nature to assist our patients with their medical equipment needs. You will be responsible for growing our patient base, educating patients on our offerings, and performing daily billing insurance processes. The ideal candidate will be a responsible and well-trained professional able to interact with and assist patients with little supervision. The goal is to promote a patient’s well-being by providing high-quality, innovative services and equipment. On the billing side the candidate will be responsible for managing the administrative process of submitting patient medical claims to insurance companies, ensuring accurate billing by verifying insurance coverage, coding procedures, and following up on outstanding payments to maximize revenue for the practice while adhering to HIPAA regulations and staying updated on healthcare billing guidelines. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities You will be our customer’s first point of contact, providing exceptional service and support. Interact with patients, understanding their needs and educating them on our products and services. Handle customer inquiries and complaints. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in accordance with Medicare regulations and the policy and procedure manual. Contact physician’s offices for patients’ prescriptions and orders. Provide information about the products and services. Troubleshoot and resolve product issues and concerns. Document and update customer records based on interactions. Communicating with insurance providers and clinicians to ensure patient needs are met and appropriate orders and documentation are received. Collaborate with physicians, providers, insurance companies, and patients to devise individualized treatment plans. Foster a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients and their families. Providing accurate information about our products and services to patients and healthcare professionals. Ensures that billing and patient account record systems are maintained by generally accepted accounting principles and in compliance with state, federal, and regulations. Monitors aged accounts receivables and directs resubmission of bills to overdue accounts. Audits and reconciles EOBS and billing according to policy.

- Associate degree preferred.
Professional Experience:
- Experience with a Durable Medical Equipment Supplier or other healthcare environment is preferred.
- Previous experience with healthcare billing
- Prior healthcare sales experience is preferred
- Knowledge of Diabetic Supplies is preferred
- Extensive knowledge of the industry and Medicare Guidelines for Medical supplies.
- Must be efficient with automated office equipment, including computers, calculators, phones, and copiers.
- Excellent customer service skills and comfortable speaking with physicians and patients on the phone.
