We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and friendly Insurance Coordinator to join our team and help ensure a seamless experience for our patients.

Job Summary:

The Insurance Coordinator will play a crucial role in managing dental insurance processes, ensuring claims are submitted accurately and on time, and assisting patients in understanding their insurance benefits. This position requires excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as a strong ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Verify patients’ insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments. Submit and follow up on dental insurance claims to ensure timely reimbursement. Accurately input insurance information into patient records and practice management software. Assist patients in understanding their insurance coverage, co-pays, and out-of-pocket costs. Handle insurance claim denials and appeals professionally and efficiently. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of dental insurance policies and procedures. Work collaboratively with the front desk and billing team to ensure accurate patient accounts. Respond to patient and insurance company inquiries regarding claims and coverage.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in dental insurance coordination or a related field preferred. Familiarity with dental terminology, insurance plans, and EOBs (Explanation of Benefits). Proficiency in dental practice management software Dentrix is a plus. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and prioritize effectively. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certification in dental office administration is a bonus.
